July is not as hot & humid month as June in Puerto Escondido but normally during the month it will still rain many days of each week. Less tourists come during the rainy season (May-October) as for most people 30c/86f degree days with 90% humidity are a bit testing. Because in the month of July there are less tourists, visitors can come and save money on lodgings and fun activities thanks to low season prices.

The run off from the rains find their way to the oceans around Puerto Escondido and often pollutes the the ocean. The surfers who come for the big swells and good surf in July might be wiser if they didn't surf while the ocean looks (and most likely is) murky.

The many cloudy days of July will help makes it easier to enjoy more time at the beach without getting cooked by the sun. Many visitors to Puerto Escondido will enjoy have a good time watching from the beach the action of the many surfers riding the waves at Zicatlea, La Punta, Marinero or Carrizalillo bay near Rinconada.
