The ADO bus terminal in Puerto Escondido is located near the main traffic lights at the bottom end of town on the main hi-way between Acapulco and Huatulco. It is a nice modern bus terminal where the ADO, OCC and SUR buses operate from.

Buses that leave from this bus terminal head south to places like Chiapas for those travelling on to Guatamala. The attendant at the ticket booth can normally speak enough English to help you purchase your bus ticket. You will be asked to choose a seat when you buy your bus ticket, so if you want to be sure of getting a good seat, purchase your ticket maybe a day in advance.

The green SUR buses are more economical and travel shorter distances and make more stops en-route. If you need to fly out of Huatulco, then you can travel to the Huatulco airport on a SUR bus rather than hiring an official airport taxi which will cost much more.
