The beach called Marinero is near where many of the fishing boats are moored. It is a favourite spot to play in the small waves and for swimming safely as there are lifeguards on duty during day-light hours 7 days a week.

When you are at Marinero beach you will often be asked to go on a fishing boat ride to see the turtles and dolphins. The trips are worth the money if you want to see Puerto Escondido from a different perspective (sea to land). For a 1 hour charter it will cost from $350MXN to hire the whole boat which fits up to 10 people.

Accessing Money

While you're in Puerto Escondido you can easily access your funds. There are quite a few bank ATM's throughout the town and in the tourist areas. The major super market Super Che also has ATM's located near the checkouts in the corridor to the bathrooms. The banks have 24 hour ATM's and limit the withdrawals to $5000MXN per day per account.
