A few years ago the airline companies who service Puerto Escondido (PXM) began charging for all surfboards or bodyboards a traveller wants to leave with. The price per board is $60USD. The check-in clerks will open your board bags and count how many boards are in the surfboard bag and multiply that quantity by $60USD.
