The Zicatela beachbreak is a very heavy wave and is not recommended for those new to surfing. If you are quite competent and an experienced surfer then give Zicatela beach break a try - but you have been warned.

Zicatela might look small but once you actually paddle out and duck-dive your first wave you will quickly notice the power such a small wave has.

Thankfully though there are plenty of other places to surf in Puerto Escondido like La Punta, Carrizalillo or Marinero so if you need a less harmful wave to surf try those spots first.

If you need a surf class than you can get those easily in Puerto Escondido also.

This luggage fee can be paid in cash or with the airports credit card facilities.
