Everyone needs to try atleast one Mexican Tlyuda (pronounced kli-you-da) while in Oaxaca and the best tlydudas in Puerto Escondido are at Taqueria Mayra in Centro on the corner of 1a Norte and 1a Oriente. They are open most evenings from 7pm and often have people waiting to get a table and eat the great food provided.

Taqueria Mayra have many other things on the menu like tacos, refried bean soup, natural refreshing drinks but most people can't go past eating a Tlyudia. If you do get one and you aren't a regular chili eater, maybe ask them to go light on the red chili salsa lest your mouth catch on fire.
